According to the latest study, if you get enough sleep at night, it saves you from obesity.
If you're currently overweight, try to remember first, lest all this sleep deprivation. At bedtime, your body actually burn some calories. So yes the longer you sleep more calories burned. Therefore, it is advisable to have a good sleep pattern at night. At least this way can make you fat fast.
A study done by scientists from The Columbia University found: Those who slept for 4 hours or less at night, 73 per cent chance of getting fat. Who slept five hours a day, chances are 50 percent were obese. Meanwhile, those who slept six hours a day, chances are less that 23%.
